Experience an active winter in the Dolomites
Slopes that call
In Tiers, Carezza and on the Seiser Alm, you can enjoy the perfect blend of sports, nature and relaxation during winter months.
Skiing
The Tschogerhof is the perfect base for exploring the Carezza Dolomites ski area in the Rosengarten region. With 40 km of slopes and 13 modern lifts, the area offers excellent conditions for an enjoyable day's skiing. Wide beginner slopes, varied runs and a stunning Dolomite backdrop make this area appealing to both novices and experienced skiers alike. The panoramic cable car from St. Zyprian also takes you directly to the winter skiing fun at the Catinaccio, via Frommer Alm. Carezza also offers an exciting highlight for all freestylers: the Snowpark! The Seiser Alm is a popular destination for skiers who enjoy wide, sunny slopes, as well as being a particularly family-friendly area. The Seiser Alm/Val Gardena ski region has a total of 181 km of slopes and 79 lifts. Alpe di Siusi is particularly suitable for leisurely skiers, while Val Gardena also
offers more challenging runs. Another highlight is the Seiser Alm Snowpark, which is one of the largest in South Tyrol.
Snowshoe hiking
The snow-covered alpine meadows, tranquil forests and picturesque trails near Tschogerhof provide an ideal setting for unforgettable snowshoe hikes in the Dolomites. The Carezza, Rosengarten and Seiser Alm areas offer a wide range of routes through the winter mountain landscape. This is an experience that engages all the senses. Take in the tranquillity of nature and discover the snowy Dolomites away from the ski slopes. Guided tours are also offered several times a week.
Mountain huts and culinary stops
A winter holiday in the Carezza ski area of the Catinaccio mountain range offers much more than just perfectly groomed slopes and spectacular views. There are also plenty of ways to enjoy time away from the slopes. There are numerous mountain huts, restaurants and après-ski venues where you can take a break and experience the flavour of winter in the mountains at a more relaxed pace. Whether you're stopping for lunch, a hot drink, or to round off the day after skiing, the wide selection of places to visit makes each day on the snow even more varied and atmospheric.
Cross-country skiing
Seiser Alm, located in the heart of the Dolomites, offers superb conditions for cross-country skiers. It is part of the “Dolomiti Nordicski” network, the largest in Europe, and features varied trails in a sunny, high-altitude setting. The Carezza ski area also offers seven kilometres of cross-country tracks. These create ideal conditions for leisurely skiers and those looking for a more athletic winter experience.
